Reporting Inspections Graphically
Design: The requirement was to design a site that had a very good presentation and layout. This was successfully achieved using flash programming. This site was under review due to the delayed download time required and the requirement to download a flash plugin, however since the amalgamation of resources between RepInG and ASP Rope Access, this site will no longer exist. Instead, a site for ASP Rope Access including resources from RepInG will be redesigned.
African Software Projects have realised from past experience that web sites can look great without the need for fancy presentation. Afterall, if a prospective client using a 56k modem is required to download a heafty site that requires a flash plugin, it's going to take approximately 5 mins to download, if the system hasn't crashed. The forward thinking view of ASP to keep sites simple yet informative, will make it possible for users in the most remote locations to use our websites with ease.
A Solo Project
Design: A site designed using flash programming. This site no longer exists due to the limited audience that could access it, users that have high bandwidth. Unfortunately, websites need to be designed for all to use, which means that a compromise needs to be reached between presentation layout or informative content. Due to the competitive demands of corporate businesses in industry today, often presentation is the most important requirement'...need to look better in order to sell better...'? We feel differently at African Software Projects.
Access Services & Projects
Design: A site designed using flash programming. This site is currently being redesigned to incorporate resources from RepInG and to achieve a higher page ranking. Unfortunately, having been previously designed using flash, the site failed to get noticed by search engines and therefore is subject to a limited audience.
Everest Trading
Design: An e-commerce site designed for maximum interaction with online buyers. Unfortunately, the site has suffered from poor service and is now been redesigned and managed by African Software Projects.
